We kicked off the New Year with the Winter Conference event!

Dr. Garcia-Sayan, President of GHSEV, started the evening with introductions and updates.
- Thank you for all your votes for the GHSEV 2023-2025 leadership! President will remain Dr. Enrique Garcia-Sayan; Vice-President is Dr. Peter Ermis, Secretary is Leticia Vasquez, and Treasurer is Jessica Murphy. The Directors-at-Large are Lynette Gascoigne, Drs. Basant Arya, Tam Doan, Ihab Hamzeh, and Deepa Raghunathan.
- SAVE THE DATE: The Houston Echo Board Review will be on April 14-15, 2023, and will be in a hybrid format. Take advantage of a 20% discount for GHSEV members.

We then heard from Dr. Charles Bulathsinghala from Baylor College of Medicine, who discussed the current and future practice of assessing left ventricular strain. There are plenty of uses but also challenges for this evaluation!
