And that’s a wrap! Even though the event was again virtual this year it was still a lot of fun and educational. We started with breakout sessions with our sponsors, whom we greatly appreciate for helping make this event possible!
Our current president, Dr. Enrique Garcia-Sayan, reviewed where our Society is now and goals for the future. The new Co-Chairs and members of our four committees (Education, Finance, Public Relations, and Membership/Industry Relations) were also announced.
We then played a game of Echo Jeopardy, with five categories and five questions each, covering a wide range of topics, it was truly educational with some friendly competition—thanks for all the participation, and thanks Dr. Bindu Chebrolu for moderating! Tied for first place was Dr. Amer Abdulla (UTMB) and Triston Thompson (BSL), 2nd place was Dr. Patrick Kee (UTHealth) and third place was Dr. Stratos Koutroumpakis (MDA).
We want to thank our two speakers for the evening! Dr. Nicolas Palaskas from MD Anderson reviewed the diagnostic and clinical management of carcinoid heart disease, and Dr. Deepa Raghunathan from UTHealth reviewed tricuspid valve percutaneous interventions.
