Dear GHSEV,
We write to you today with great sadness, our beloved former #1 Board Member, Mike Adams, is now resting peacefully. For those of you that don’t know, the GHSE now GHSEV, would never have existed, if it wasn’t for Mike Adams. He took on the arduous task of starting this society and worked hard to keep it going.
Mike’s persistence in continuing education in echo has opened many learning opportunities and doors for many of us in the field. Mike’s love for echocardiography started in 1974, he decided to formally retire and step down from the GHSEV late 2018. However, he was always willing to help and make suggestions when needed, his opinion and voice was always heard and important to us.
We are glad that he was able to see and appreciate his vision of the GHSEV, and able to see it become what it is.
Thank you, Mike for always smiling, sharing your knowledge, and showing us how passionate we can be about what we do. You will be greatly missed.

GHSEV
Thank you Lety, for your your beautiful words.
We were indeed advised of our beloved Mike Adam’s passing this afternoon. We are still in some disbelief. As an Echo Family we will be supportive of each other & his family. With time we shall determine how to ensure his professionalism & volunteer spirit will live on with our GHSEV.
Please enjoy this link celebrating Mike as ASE Volunteer of the month in happy times- November 2014. I also found these photos from the GHSEV Holiday Meeting Dec 2006 (!)
Please share any echo family photos with Mike that you may have.
Warm echo hugs.
